Vanderbilt Planetarium
3d modelling on a global scale.
It all begins with an idea. For our capstone project the Interactive Media Arts class of 2024 at Five Towns College was given an internship with Vanderbilt Planetarium to create various assets for their Planetarium. I was a leading member in the 3D modelling team to create 3D assets to be used in their planetarium dome. From planets to microbes we created them and they can all be seen in various shows they put on to this day.

This is a render of my model of Halley's comet created in blender before being exported and textured in Maya. The custom textures were also made by me in photoshop.

This is my model of the planet "Trappist 1-A" based off NASA's concept images of what the planet may look like as it is too far outside our own system to get clear photos of. This model was made by me in Maya, and the texture was also made by me in photoshop.

This is my model of the planet "Trappist 1-B" based off NASA's concept images of what the planet may look like as it is too far outside our own system to get clear photos of. This model was made by me in Maya, and the texture was also made by me in photoshop.

This is my model of the planet "Trappist 1-C" based off NASA's concept images of what the planet may look like as it is too far outside our own system to get clear photos of. This model was made by me in Maya, and the texture was also made by me in photoshop.

This is a GIF of my model of Halley's comet spinning in a 3D space to show off as much detail as possible. I created this model in blender before exporting, texturing, and animating it in Maya. The custom textures were also made by me in photoshop.
